Since it’s the start of NYFW I wanted to reminisce on my trip to NYC in January! Although my style is a bit different that what you will see on the runway, the weather is in the negatives here in good ol’ North Dakota and I’m for sure breaking out this sweater again. I believe Faith is the bridge between where I am and the place God is taking me. There’s something so calming about walking across a bridge over the water, especially the Brooklyn Bridge! Literally everywhere we turned the sites were beautiful.
You know when you are on the hunt for something that you’ve imagined in your head and you don’t seem to love anything that’s comparable? Well that was me on the hunt for the biggest, chunkiest, neutral color sweater and then I found this majesty!
From Modern Mess – who opened her store front a few months ago in Tulsa, OK, she has some great, unique finds! And, did I mention she is so sweet and inspiring! She will go to great lengths to make sure you find something you love and to me that’s the heart of a true business owner. Follow her HERE – you won’t be disappointed! She’s getting in some amazing Spring items I can’t wait to try!
This is the whole reason I wanted to start this blog! There are so many genuinely authentic people in the world and you just can’t meet them all. But you can meet more through the web – and I honestly can say I have met some of the greatest people and I’m just getting started! I want to hear your stories and your dreams – I want to celebrate with you in the good and pray for you during the bad. I believe this is why we are on this earth – to be servants and to spread God’s love!
The outfit ideas that flew around in my head as I clicked on the square box showing this beauty was a tad overwhelming. It was all my dreams of a sweater piled into one – okay maybe I’m being dramatic. The turtleneck is to die for and the arms are so breathable – I literally feel like I’m wearing a blanket – heaven with sleeves.
You can style this with a button down suede skirt when the weather starts to thaw out or a leather midi to turn it edgy. Add some white pants (it’s always okay) to give it a crisp neutral feel. Throw a boyfriend cut shirt underneath to create more dimension or just rock it by itself. I’ve also been super into chunky sweaters and tennis shoes – it just gives that athletic look but you still look so put together!
It’s a no fail sweater. Plain and simple. This is the ultimate jackpot. You need one! The chunkier the sweater the cozier it is! She also has some other great sweater options along with everything else that’s SO AMAZING! Check her out at Modern Mess 🙂
A few more details. How cute are these fox socks?? They are sold out but there are some other ones I’ve linked HERE! It’s fun to add a little unique feature to your neutral outfits. I am also loving the double buckle belt. I see them everywhere and have attached where I purchased mine HERE from Zaful!
Your unfailing love is better than life itself; how I praise you!
