Dear Kindred,

Happy Monday loves. This week I am thankful for the start of a new week. If I’m being raw & real here, I’m being honest when I say that life, mine included is never perfect. But, I’m thankful I serve a God who allows me new & better days. As humans there is an abounding need in the world for your sort of beautiful, even when life gets messy!

When I was little I never wore shoes when I’d go outside. My feet were tough as nails & I have scars to prove it. Wether it’d be walking on the red dirt road, running around in the yard with my sister or helping my mom in the garden, I wasn’t a shoe gal. Now, I feel like I have some of the most tender feet on the planet. Cue my new favorite olive kicks.

New balance for the win! These have put a little spring in my step. I’ve never really fancied myself for the sporty type but these are both stylish and overall functional. I sometimes feel like I can’t pull off  ‘the look.’ You know what I’m talking about, the Pinterest pins of sneakers styled up so perfectly. Or the ladies you see walking around town. I always wondered if I knew how to “style” sneakers with something other than athletic wear. But, then I found these from New Balance (exact pair) and just went for it.

These kicks are keeping it ‘casual’ with any look and I feel it always works better for me to play up that vibe. Throw them on with jeans and a cozy top, and you’ve got an ensemble that’s perfectly comfortable and put together.  I believe in the power of closet staples and basics & these tennies are one of them! There’s truly something to be said about comfort. The challenge for me is knowing how to wear them! The ideas I’ve seen that come to mind include an all black ensemble, skinnies with a sweater, a graphic tee like I did, joggers, or adding some accessories and a bold lip to dress it up, or a knit midi dress with a jacket. Next outfit you put together, throw a pair of tennis shoes on and see what you think!

This Suede Hat is everything. I’m definitely not one who can throw on a ball cap and be cute. It has to be calculated, but when I’m on the third day of dry shampoo this hat comes in to save. Suede is everything to me lately.

You will learn my dogs are my babies and I love this shirt. The material is oh so soft and it adds a little comic relief to an ever controversial topic on breeds. This is a lounge worthy tee. One you can throw on for straight comfort. Thanks Kittsona! But really, let’s be friends!

May you have a beautiful and fulfilling week. I’m praying for good thoughts, kind people & happy moments. You got this girl!

Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name.
